The rooftop terrace of Kimpton Vividora Hotel has a fantastic view of the Gothic Quarter, with its spontaneous chaos of terracotta rooftops and the Mediterranean Sea as a background.
We worked with contrasting surfaces, textures and colours. Ceramic tiles are again the protagonists, this time in the vertical surfaces. Referencing the street art so popular in this city area, tiles create artsy murals with abstract patterns.
Our design strategy was creating a cool terrace inspired by Barcelona’s outdoor spaces, with an emphasis on its textures and light-shadow patterns and with an easy-going vibe.
